Update: Final Round of our Travel Photography Contest has Begun 😀

Heyy ,

Thanks for participating in PixaHive's Travel Photography contest. The Final Round of the Contest has begun since yesterday and all participants who were selected for the final round have been notified via email.

If you did not receive a mail from me about getting selected, then unfortunately you were not selected. However, please do not be disheartened. Everyone has scope of improvement and lots of opportunity to learn. The results of the contest will be announced starting 23rd of September. You can see the results and learn from the photographs which win the contest.

Out of 1000+ entries, our team shortlisted over 300 candidates for the final round. They will now compete for the Top 10 positions to win prizes.

Our team looks for the following metrics in judging pictures when selecting them for final rounds or when choosing winners.

Quality & Clarity
Symmetry & Alignment
Presence of a Well Defined Subject or Concept.
Creativity, if applicable.
Accuracy of Photographic Elements (Focus, Exposure, etc)
Post-Editing of the Picture (if applicable)

Here is an image which one of the professional photographers of our team edited and changed its entire look and feel. The only major change which has been done here is color correction.

If you want to edit your images, here is a free tutorial for you to learn from. Note that the tutorial is created using Lightroom, but the editing done can be done via any photo editing app on the market as well.

The Final Event will be judged by 5 People including professional photographers & graphic designers. One of them will be me. :D

To keep the competition fair, the decision is taken by judges only and there is not voting system. Any employees, friends and family members of judges are disqualified from the competition already.
