Most people are hobby photographers and don’t get the education which others get by doing professional photography courses.
PixaHive wants to make Photography Education available to all. We will regularly create written tutorials, video tutorials and live sessions to help you out.
Today, I want to tell you that PixaHive is organising a Free YouTube Live session with QnA to help you get familiar with Photography Jargons which professionals use all the time, and you might hear or read them on PixaHive as well.

About the Host – Pankaj Veerkar
Pankaj Veerkar is an Engineer by qualification, Professor by profession and a photographer by choice. Based out of Mumbai, he is a self taught photographer and likes to click to make ordinary look beautiful. He specializes in creative, travel, landscapes, street photography. He has to his credit a novel cover published from UK and has remained winner in number of contests and exhibitions, Kolkata Journalist Club’s 2016 and 2017, to mention one of the many significant.
He has an amazing sense of composition. He loves to share his knowledge and has amazing teaching acumen. He is a photography mentor with Le Mark institute of Art and has been a Team Leader with DCP Expeditions LLP.
What are Jargons?
Words that hold a special meaning within a profession. Those same words might mean something entirely different to a person outside that profession. For example, the word “exposure” means something else to a photographer than other people.
Photography has many many Jargons which people do not know about, but they play an important role. Some of these are
- Bracketing
- Focus Stacking
- Dynamic Range
- 35 MM
- Exposure Triangle
- and many more which we will discuss in our session.
